Manual setting of threshold

The allowance isn't being counted (i.e. the top red light of the 12 LED display isn't blinking when the TV is on)

The top light of the 12 LED display should blink when the TV is On (except if Screenblock is in Override).  If the top light is not blinking, the allowance is not being taken- this is a problem.  The reason for this is that Screenblock has failed to understand the power states of your TV and cannot distinguish between On, Standby or Off.

The solution to this problem is to set it manually:

1. Open unlock and remove the lid.

2. Press and hold down the Allowance and Override button for 10 seconds.

3. Four numbers will appear on the screen (ie:0000) press the +/- buttons until the first digit is 0.

4. The screen is now displaying a number (0-50) which represents the power consumption (ie 0012= power consumption 12)

3. Turn the TV on and make a note of the power consumption. For example power consumption=0025

4. Put the TV in standby and note the power consumption. For example power consumption=0005

5. The threshold can now be calculated as ((25-5)/2)+5 =15.  Therefore threshold should be set to 15 (0015).

6. Press the Override button

7. Press and hold down the On and Allowance button for 10 seconds.

8. You will see a number like 0003 displayed.  This is the threshold set by the automatic system.

9. Press the +/- button to set the manual threshold (ie 0015)

10. Press the On button to save and exit.  The Allowance and Override buttons cancel the change and exit.

11.You will see that a small dot appears on the bottom left of the display.

12.This indicates that the automatic evaluation of power states has been suspended and that a manual system is in place.

13. To restore the automatic system (perhaps when you change TV) a reset must be carried out.
